SEVIRA-project was represented in the joint expedition of the Ecocentrum and Friends of the Baltic with the partners: the Institute of Limnology and the Baltic Nature Foundation to the Vyborg district of the Leningrad Region. The expedition took place at the end of March and one of the tasks which it carried on was to take samples from the Sestra and Seleznevka rivers which are two of the three target rivers of the SEVIRA-project.

The sampling points and express tests were specially placed in the same points as what the Institute of Limnology and Roshydromet has in SEVIRA-project. This will allow comparing and calibrating the results.

During the expedition there were also meetings with local people who told about the situation at rivers.
