Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) provides the most important chemical and biological testing services required for environmental monitoring and research. Our chemical testing services include determination of organic substances, elemental analysis and physico-chemical analysis. Our biological analysis services cover a wide range of ecotoxicological tests and handling of biological monitoring samples.
The Syke laboratory has been accredited as a testing laboratory (T003) by FINAS accreditation service since 1992. Our operations meet the requirements of standard SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025, FINAS T003. In addition to this, expert personnel and modern analytical instruments guarantee reliable analysis results. We continuously develop our operations to meet new methodological and technical needs in the field.
We serve government agencies, research institutes, universities and private companies by providing solutions for their environmental research and monitoring activities. Private customers are kindly asked to contact the municipal or private laboratories.
