The idea is to provide solutions for sustainable use of marine environment and protection as well as to provide future options to exploit marine natural resources (ecosystem services) in a sustainable way.
Experimental studies and modeling on marine ecosystem function form a basis for development of marine models.
For protection of the of the sea, modeling tools will be developed to anticipate long-and short-term changes and to assess how the climate change and change of land use in the drainage area would affect the state of the sea.
