First meeting of the SEVIRA Steering Committee at Finnish side took place in Kouvola on November 7th.

Project manager Kai Myrberg from Finnish Environment Institute SYKE introduced the goals of the project. All three work packages were shortly described to the Steering Committee. The scientists from SYKE and South-East ELY-Centre told aboutthe ongoing work and preliminary results.

There are separate Steering Committees in Finland and Russia for SEVIRA. Bearing in mind the importance of cross-boundary co-operation, it is of vital importance that at least some of the Steering Committee members from Finland could participate to meetings in Russia. The Finnish representatives could bring their message to Russian colleagues.

Next meeting of the Finnish Steering Committee will place in fall 2020.
