Hazardous Waste Management Project in Alexandria: Review of the 1st Phase and Preparation of the 2nd Phase, Egypt

Project Description

The purpose of the review was to assess the extent of achievement of the objectives and expected results of the project and the constraints experienced during the first 2+ years, and to provide guidelines for such re-orientation as may be required to achieve the purpose and objectives, improve the effectiveness and efficiency, ensure sustainability and remove the possible problems or constraints.

A proposal and plan for the possible second phase was produced, based on the analysis of remaining problems, needs and opportunities for support. The product (report) formed the (final draft) Project Document which was subject to the approval of the competent authorities of the governments of Egypt and Finland.
