We are pleased to invite you to the High Level Celebration Conference of the first EU wide ecosystem assessment organized under the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The meeting will take place in Helsinki, Finlandia Hall on 13 December 2019.
The objectives of the conference are• to present and highlight the policy relevance of the first EU wide ecosystem assessment as an outcome of the work on the Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystems and their Services (MAES) under the EU Biodiversity Strategy
• to present and discuss how to integrate this work in public and private decision-making processes including at EU, national and local level
• to discuss next steps, knowledge needs and the relevance of this work in the context of the post-2020 biodiversity agenda.
Registration and accreditation are mandatory for all delegations. Online accreditation is open until 29 November 2019. The Presidency has blocked rooms for the participants at Sokos Hotel Presidentti and Hotel Crowne Plaza. Blocked rooms should be booked from the hotels no later than 28 November.
